Description
This was taken at Sampson's Pond in Carver, MA. There are many bugs there that creep up the reeds and water plants, and then transform into flying bugs. Dragonflies, Damselflies, and some others that I can't figure out. But I have seen several different ones here. They leave behind an empty shell that stays on the plant for a long time. I thought it was cool to have the sunlight shine through the remains.

Fantastic capture! Just think of a life that lasts just for one single day! FL
Linda Howes replied:
Actually they live in that body underwater for up to 2 years. I just saw a nature show about it! They live for a couple of months after they come up and turn into flying bugs. Thanks so much Gun!

Linda, great capture - what is the two spots of white light? f/l
Linda Howes replied:
Thanks very much Cindy. It was a couple years ago, but I think it was bokeh from the sun. I thought it was cool.
