Description
I knew this was a female because she has a few eggs under her belly. I found it interesting when I looked it up, that she is a blue dasher. The males turn blue as they mature and the females eventually turn blue too, but not as blue as the males. Dragonflies are amazing hunters and I was already taking her picture, when she flew away for a few seconds and came back with a treat for herself! It's really incredible how the bottom jaw drops down and they can eat bugs much larger than you would think.
